Anniversary Adventure....Part 3

Monday was a relaxing....taking pictures of some cute kids...eating and visiting kind of day.

 

                           I wonder how much of the "here.... smile for grandma" they can take????

 

 

We got lots of good reading time in.........

 

 

Jenny made us a delicious dinner of her version of ziti pasta, served with yummy green bean casserole and cheesy sticks....and after the kids went to bed the 4 of us watched the movie "The Help"

It was such a nice day!!!

 

 

Today ......we started out bright and early at the Gunnison Conoco station where this cute truck was just waiting for me to take a picture!!  We were on our way to Salt Lake to Liberty Park and the Aviary to see some BIRDS!!

 

 

BUT......it is a long drive (2 hours)......and half way there we had to stop for a quick potty break for a certain little girl......

 

Then.....we had to stop for lunch at Arbys....Isaac eats his own food...along with some of ours...

 And of course....Grandpa had to act a little silly!!!!

 

 

We finally arrived at our destination....Liberty Park...and it was beautiful!!  Sadie got to feed the geese and was having a great time.....until.....

 

This little girl came running from out of nowhere and started throwing big chunks of bread at Sadie....it was SO FUNNY.....she did it twice....we think she was trying to share....Sadie didn't know what to think!!!

 

Doesn't it look pretty here???  Especially  with these four!!

 

                                                    We walked over to the aviary....

 

 

We rented a wagon for the kids....here they are mimicking the tweet tweet of the birds.

 

 

There were flamingos.......

 

 

And  cranes.....

 

 

And vultures.....

 

 

And grandparents having fun!!

 

 

While Sadie went in to feed the birds with her mommy.....

 

 

Isaac was happily eating crackers.

 

They were both SO GOOD!!

It was a HOT day but they just had fun. It helped to have the wagon so they didn't get too tired.

 

 

We headed over to JC Penny's and had pictures of the kids made then finished off the day by getting treated to dinner at "The Sizzler" by Jenny and Logan to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary (thus the Anniversary Adventure you are reading about!!)
