I Hear Wedding Bells.....

I've been waiting to post about Jon's recent engagement but wanted to wait until Jon and Brittany had put the news out on facebook first. Of course I did have to cajole them into doing it....ha ha!
After the big "Proposal" they came to the house so we could celebrate with them and take pictures  Aren't they a cute couple?
Congratulations Jon and Brittany!!!

Free at Last!!!

I know that may seem like a strange title....but it is true!  Josh is done....we are done....with high school that is.  It's such a liberating feeling.  It was a very busy week...but we enjoyed every minute of it. Before graduation we had an open house for our graduate.  It was hectic ...but fun.
 Grandma Cameron came...
Josh at Baccalaureate...The speakers were AMAZING!!
He conducted....I love all the green!
Some of the kids from our ward...
In front of some of the memory boards...Josh's is behind us.
 WOW....he's strong!
Back to the grad party....with Aunt Alvaretta, Great Aunt Ellouise and Aunt Myrna.  Isaac got in there thanks to his daddy:)  We ate yummy chicken, potato salad, watermelon, baked beans, rolls, chips and Josh's favorite....lemon cake and lemonade!
Great Aunt Adele and her new husband Merril and Aunt Erma...Do you see his hair is growing back pretty good...
Josh's other parents...Jim and Sherry and his friend Austin and his sister Julia.
Josh decorated the board on his cap....all by himself....I was impressed!.  GO NAVY!!
 Lovely heads.....
Our graduations are outside....here they are walking in as the band played pomp and circumstance.  Josh is wearing the sunglasses...
He was one of the first to get his diploma (as ASB President)....here he is as they call his name...Joan Skelton our school board president waits to give it to him.  She's a friend for years and years and has given all three of the kids their diplomas.  The actual picture of her giving it to him turned out way blurry to post. I am so sad I have no pictures with Jenny Logan or Jonathan with their little brother at graduation ...What????
But here they are at the stadium just as graduation started. CONGRATULATIONS JOSHUA...We're proud of you:)

Bittersweet

All year long I have been saying how I just could not wait for high school to be over....I'm not going to be sad....it's going to be just great to be empty nesters.... YEAH  RIGHT!!!

This morning as Josh and I had prayer before he headed out the door I asked him if he was sad today....his very last day of high school. Then I proceeded to cry all through prayer and beyond.....through the morning....through the afternoon. It's been a busy month with end of year activities....final concerts....awards nights....grad night planning. I haven't had time to think to be sad. Our Ward youth were well represented at Senior awards night on Monday.

Lots of changes....Josh had his head shaved on Wednesday to raise money for cancer. He's not to keen on the new do, but it was for a good cause.  He always claims he's not a redhead....couldn't prove it by this picture.  Looks like red fuzz to me:)

And did I mention another change??? (now you know why I'm crying so much) Josh joined the United States Navy last month. He scored in the top one percent in the nation on the military ASFAB test. His plan has been to go into the nuclear program...but he may do informations systems technology... Either will be a good career.....he will get schooling while in the Navy and come out with money to finish his education.

It looks like he will be leaving in October to boot camp. For now both of the boys are home.....The fall will bring more tears I'm sure....but I'm just going to enjoy my family until then. Jenny and Logan will be here in 5 days....so all will be well in my little world.
