Christmas Traditions Part 1

It was a very cold rain free year for cutting down the Christmas Tree. This was one of the easiest years to find a tree we liked...we found it within 15 minutes of arriving. Maybe this year the trees are just the right maturity.....
Josh plays his imaginary guitar... AKA saw.....
TIMBER!!!!
For those of you who have no idea what a tree farm is....there are acres and acres of different kinds of trees at our favorite place. Noble Fir, Grand Fir, Douglas Fir...etc....
You walk around and look for your favorite tree. Trees with pricetags are the only ones you can choose. There are saws on stands that you can use (or bring your own). Voila!! You're all done (It hasn't always been easy though...especially for us picky Moms who want the perfect tree.) The older I get, the less picky I am!

We had hot chocolate and Josh and I rode the hay ride. We didn't visit the animals....they took some of them out and they are only in the barn now and a few ducks outside. We were cold and excited to eat pizza and decorate the tree.
